Special Education Teacher | Elk River, Minnesota

Experienced Special Education professionals are needed for full-time roles serving a diverse caseload of elementary to high school students. These contract positions will be focused on a Setting 4 environment, working with children facing significant behavioral and developmental challenges.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
• Demonstrated experience in Special Education, preferably in high-needs or Setting 4 environments
• Strong ability to manage challenging behaviors and deliver individualized instructional strategies
• Commitment to supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional growth
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with staff, parents, and service providers
• Ability to adapt quickly, maintain professionalism, and hold a student-centered mindset

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and interventions to students with severe disabilities
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Utilize evidence-based strategies to address behavioral issues and promote positive outcomes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to tailor academic and behavioral plans
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state requirements
• Foster a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
