Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Minnesota Special Education Teacher license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Experience working with setting 4 caseloads—a demonstrated commitment to serving students with severe behaviors and significant disabilities preferred
- Expert classroom management skills, with the ability to implement behavior intervention and individualized plans
- Strong communication skills for partnering with families, IEP teams, and support staff
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to a wide range of ages and developmental levels, from elementary through high school
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction, support, and interventions to students with complex educational and behavioral needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Establish and maintain a structured, positive classroom environment
- Collaborate with fellow educators, related service providers, and administrators
- Collect, analyze, and report data to ensure student progress
- Foster relationships with families to maximize student success
