Special Education Teacher - Elk River, Minnesota

A full-time contract position is available for skilled Special Education Teachers who are dedicated to working with students facing the highest behavioral needs and most severe disabilities (Setting 4). Your essential qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
• Experience instructing students with severe disabilities or behavioral needs, especially in Setting 4 environments, is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to implement individualized learning and behavioral plans
• Collaborative mindset for working closely alongside staff, therapists, and families
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, and engaging learning atmosphere

Key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering specialized instruction to students with significant behavioral and learning challenges
• Developing, coordinating, and implementing IEPs in compliance with state/federal guidelines
• Collaborating with support staff and administration to ensure comprehensive service for each student
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Providing positive behavioral supports and teaching coping/self-regulation strategies
• Adapting curriculum and learning materials to meet individual needs
• Actively participating in ongoing professional development

With a start date of 8/25/2026 and extending through 6/10/2027, this full-time opportunity offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule at a reputable educational center.
