A dedicated center serving students from elementary through high school is seeking six full-time Special Education Teachers for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract role offers the chance to make a profound impact by guiding learners with severe and complex needs in a Setting 4 program—known for working with high-behavior and most severe disabilities.

Your expertise will be invaluable as you collaborate with teams focused on both academic growth and behavioral support, ensuring every student is set up for success in a safe, supportive, and structured setting.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
  • Experience serving students in Setting 4 or similar high-needs environments strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated skill in developing and implementing IEPs for diverse learners
  • Strong knowledge of managing challenging behaviors using evidence-based practice
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and families

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction to students with severe behavioral, cognitive, or physical disabilities
  • Develop and implement IEPs, adapting curriculum to students’ unique abilities
  • Collaborate closely with support staff, administrators, and related service providers
  • Foster a positive, structured classroom environment conducive to learning and safety
  • Monitor student progress and maintain detailed records and documentation
  • Engage in ongoing professional learning related to best practices in special education

This contract position runs from August 25, 2026, to June 10, 2027, with a standard weekday, full-time schedule. You’ll find a purpose-driven environment where collaboration, innovation, and compassion are at the core of daily practice.
