Special Education Teacher | Andover, Minnesota

Embark on a fulfilling role as a Special Education Teacher, making a real difference in students’ lives in a supportive, close-knit school community located in Northeast Minneapolis. Two positions are open, one in an Elementary Setting III classroom and another at the Middle School level. This contract opportunity offers a consistent weekday schedule from September 8, 2026, through June 10, 2027 (Monday-Friday, 7:15 AM to 3:30 PM; 38.75 hours per week).

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current licensure as a Special Education Teacher, with Tier 3 or 4 preferred
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in either elementary or middle school settings
• Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues
• Adaptable, positive attitude and a commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction, adapting materials as needed
• Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Track student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal requirements
• Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and families
• Support positive behavioral interventions and inclusive educational approaches
