Make a difference at the elementary level in a dynamic school setting as a dedicated Special Education Teacher. This contract role supports students in an ABS caseload, offering the opportunity to play a pivotal part in their educational journey. The assignment runs from late August to early June, following the standard Monday through Friday school week, with a full-time 37.5 hours per week.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Active Minnesota Special Education Teacher license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
  • Experience or passion for working with elementary-aged students with unique learning needs
  • Strong collaboration and communication abilities with staff, families, and related service providers
  • Ability to organize, develop, and modify individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Comfortable managing a diverse caseload in an inspiring learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and deliver engaging lessons tailored to ABS caseload students at the elementary school level
  • Develop, implement, and assess IEPs, tracking student growth and celebrating progress
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, school personnel, and families to support inclusive practices
  • Provide direct instruction and adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet students’ needs
  • Maintain accurate and timely records, ensuring compliance with state and federal special education requirements
  • Foster a positive, supportive, and safe classroom community that encourages student participation and self-advocacy
