Job Description
Make a positive impact supporting elementary students as a full-time Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity focuses on an ABS caseload within a vibrant elementary setting near Andover, MN. You'll collaborate with a dedicated school team to foster growth, independence, and success for students requiring additional support.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher license, Tier 3 or Tier 4 (required)
- Experience working with elementary-age students, preferably with ABS caseloads
- Strong communication skills to partner with colleagues, families, and support staff
- Ability to develop and implement effective Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Proven adaptability and commitment to inclusive classroom strategies
- Resume and proof of licensure must be submitted to be considered
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with student IEP goals
- Monitor progress and adapt teaching methods to support diverse learning needs
- Coordinate with general education teachers and related service providers
- Create a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation of student performance
- Engage with families and guardians to encourage student growth and achievement
Position Details:
- Start Date: August 25, 2026 | End Date: June 10, 2027
- Monday–Friday schedule, following the school calendar
- 37.5 hours per week
