Job Description

This role offers a fulfilling opportunity to support a manageable caseload of up to 10 students, working collaboratively with Paraprofessionals and an Intervener in a vibrant school community.
You’ll have the chance to shape individualized learning experiences for students, focusing on fostering growth and helping each child reach their full potential. This assignment spans the full academic year, beginning September 1, 2026, and concluding June 4, 2027, with a weekly commitment of 37.5 to 40 hours.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current, active Special Education teaching license in compliance with PELSB/MDE (required)
- Tier 2 or higher licensure; must be fully credentialed upon start date
- Experience teaching students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload and collaborate with support staff
- Strong communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and develop IEPs tailored to each student's needs
- Work alongside Paraprofessionals and an Intervener to provide consistent support within the classroom
- Collaborate with families, therapists, and school personnel to foster student progress
- Track and report on student goals, maintaining accurate documentation
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
