Job Description
Make a difference every day as a Special Education Teacher, working with a dedicated team to support students near Andover, MN. This contract position spans the 2026-2027 school year, offering the opportunity to work with a manageable caseload in an inclusive and collaborative environment.
Key Details:
- Caseload is up to 10 students, supported by skilled Paraprofessionals and an Intervener.
- The assignment runs from September 1, 2026, through June 4, 2027.
- Full-time hours: 37.5 to 40 per week.
- The role is based at an elementary location with a focus on individualized learning strategies.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Special Education teaching license required (PELSB/MDE).
- Tier 2 teaching status is a must.
- Preference given to teachers with experience or specialization in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary support staff.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tailored instruction for students with varied needs.
- Coordinate and monitor educational programs in compliance with IEPs.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment, utilizing interventions as needed.
- Work in partnership with Paras and Intervener to maximize student engagement and growth.
- Communicate regularly with families and staff to ensure student success.
