Make an impact on the future of young learners by guiding and supporting exceptional early childhood educators as an Early Childhood Special Education Supervisor. This full-time, contract opportunity is available immediately through May 27, 2027, and requires your expertise in facilitating the Early Intervention process and leading a dedicated team.

Your background in early childhood special education, combined with a comprehensive understanding of Illinois school standards, will help shape enriching learning experiences for children and support professional growth among staff.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in early childhood education or child development
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate administrative endorsements
  • At least 2-3 years of experience teaching or coordinating in early childhood environments
  • In-depth knowledge of Illinois Early Learning Standards and ISBE guidelines
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in a supervisory or coordinator capacity
  • Ability to facilitate Early Intervention processes and efficiently run meetings
  • Strong skills in staff development and effective parent communication

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee early childhood special education programs, ensuring compliance with state and district standards
  • Coordinate interventions and services for students under the Early Intervention process
  • Serve as a resource and mentor for teachers and support staff
  • Collaborate closely with families to foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
  • Organize and lead professional development for staff based on current best practices and individual needs
  • Facilitate and document meetings in accordance with program objectives and state requirements
