Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year supporting students’ growth and functional independence in an engaging middle school environment. This on-site role offers the chance to collaborate within a dynamic team of eight Occupational Therapists, fostering student success across two vibrant campuses. Preferred full-time hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:45am to 3:15pm, aligned with the academic calendar, though two part-time specialists would also be considered.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist licensure in Illinois
  • Experience or strong interest working in school settings, especially middle grades
  • Knowledge of MTSS, IEP process, and special education evaluation
  • Excellent collaboration and consulting skills with multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to compassionate, student-centered practice
  • Effective communication skills with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to adapt and problem-solve in a dynamic environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate as a valued member of the district’s OT team, providing expertise for initial and reevaluations to determine special education eligibility
  • Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to students’ needs
  • Deliver individualized and group services per IEP or MTSS protocols
  • Consult regularly with teachers and staff to support skill generalization in the classroom
  • Contribute to building-level meetings and collaborate on multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain timely and thorough documentation and data collection
  • Help create an inclusive and supportive atmosphere across campuses
