Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active LBS1 certification required
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
  • Previous experience in elementary or middle school special education preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment for diverse learners

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Provide direct instruction in academic, behavioral, and social skills
  • Adapt curriculum materials and teaching methods for differentiated learning
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to monitor student progress
  • Maintain clear and accurate records, including documentation required for compliance
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development activities
