Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois PEL with Special Education endorsement
  • Experience or strong interest working with K-12 students
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with general educators, families, and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities
  • Adapt educational materials and methods to meet individualized student needs
  • Track and communicate student progress toward educational goals
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers, therapists, and paraprofessionals
  • Facilitate a safe and nurturing classroom culture
  • Participate in parent meetings, team conferences, and ongoing professional learning
