The Special Education Coordinator/Instructional Coach position provides an outstanding platform to champion inclusive practices, ensure compliance with educational requirements, and guide special education staff as they drive meaningful outcomes for students with disabilities.
In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with building administrators, general education instructional coaches, and student services leaders to cultivate a supportive and effective learning environment. The focus is on high-quality instruction, seamless IEP facilitation, and ongoing professional growth for educators.
What We're Looking For:
- Master’s Degree in education or a related field
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a qualifying endorsement
- At least three years of experience in special education
- Proven record of supporting instructional improvement and compliance within school settings
- Commitment to inclusive education and expanding service options for students with disabilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead special education program implementation and maintain compliance with federal and state laws
- Facilitate and support engaging, effective IEP meetings
- Provide instructional coaching for special education staff, fostering professional development and best practices
- Cooperate with school and district leaders to enrich the continuum of services and promote student-centered strategies
