Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a Staff Pharmacist role within an inpatient hospital environment, offering a 13-week contract with the possibility of extension. The position involves rotating shifts between first and second shifts, providing a dynamic and engaging clinical setting.

Schedule:

  • Rotating 1st shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Rotating 2nd shift: 2:30 PM – 10:00 PM
  • Rotating weekends required

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert pharmaceutical care and clinical support to patients in an inpatient hospital setting.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure appropriate medication use and patient safety.
  • Utilize Cerner pharmacy computer systems to manage medication orders and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in clinical rounds and recommend therapies based on patient needs.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in inpatient pharmacy clinical settings is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Cerner pharmacy software is a significant advantage.
  • Must hold an active Illinois Pharmacy License.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
