Required Qualifications:

  • Special Education teaching certification with endorsement for Early Childhood
  • Experience working with children ages 3-5, preferably in a special education setting
  • Strong knowledge of IEP processes and adapting curriculum for individual needs
  • Comfort with classroom management and creative instructional strategies
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans for students with diverse learning needs
  • Assess student progress, document observations, and adjust teaching methods to ensure success
  • Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
  • Integrate developmentally appropriate activities that engage every learner
  • Maintain organized records and comply with state and federal special education requirements
  • Foster a positive and welcoming classroom atmosphere that encourages growth and discovery
