Job Description

Make a difference this school year by supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic, center-based program designed for learners with autism and unique developmental needs. This contract opportunity spans the full academic year and is offered within a specialized "Ready, Set, Launch" program focused on delivering meaningful, individualized support in a collaborative environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
  • Proven experience or strong interest in working with students with autism spectrum disorders, developmental delays, or similar learning profiles
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse needs
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capable of maintaining detailed, accurate student records and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide instruction, support, and intervention services to students in the Ready, Set, Launch program
  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans to meet IEP goals
  • Collaborate closely with related services staff, general educators, and families
  • Create a positive, structured learning environment that supports student growth
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
  • Communicate regularly with families and staff regarding student progress and needs
