Special Education Teacher in Anoka, MN

Make a real difference in the lives of students by providing dedicated support as a Special Education Teacher working with students who have intensive needs. This full-time, contract opportunity involves partnering with a dynamic team serving elementary through high school ages in a highly supportive educational setting for students requiring Setting 4 services, which means working with individuals exhibiting the most significant behavioral and disability-related challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and support to students in a Setting 4 environment
• Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Use evidence-based behavioral interventions and strategies
• Maintain thorough documentation on student progress and programs
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and related service providers
• Foster a safe, respectful, and positive learning atmosphere
• Adapt curriculum materials to meet a wide range of student needs
• Participate actively in professional development and staff meetings

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 only)
• Experience supporting students with significant behaviors and complex disabilities strongly preferred
• Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders (families, administration, support staff)
• Knowledge of best practices in classroom management and behavioral intervention
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Passion for advocating for students with unique needs

This contract runs from August 25, 2026, through June 10, 2027, following a Monday through Friday schedule. All candidates must provide a current Minnesota Special Education Teacher license and resume for consideration.
