Make a difference in students’ lives as a dedicated Health Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year! This exciting opportunity involves working on a .7 FTE contract, starting August 31, 2026, and concluding June 7, 2027. You’ll work across both middle and high school levels, providing engaging instruction in health-related subjects.

In this role, you’ll split your time between middle school and high school settings. At the high school, you will lead three sections of Beginning Weights and Nutrition, fostering lifelong wellness habits in young adults. At the middle school, your focus is on one section of Personal Wellness and overseeing an advisory group, helping students build a solid foundation in health education.

Qualifications/Experience Sought:

• Hold a valid teaching license in General Education, Health Education, or be eligible for state certification
• Experience teaching adolescents preferred, especially in health or wellness subjects
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to connect with students at different grade levels
• Adaptability to handle a split schedule and varied curriculum from middle school advisory to high school weights and nutrition
• Commitment to creating an inclusive, positive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver creative, standards-aligned lessons in health, nutrition, and wellness
• Inspire student interest and promote healthy lifestyle choices through practical instruction and activities
• Collaborate with fellow educators and support staff for curriculum alignment and student support
• Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
• Foster a safe, supportive, and respectful classroom environment
