Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Elementary Special Education Teacher focused on Emotional Behavior Disorders. This position is perfect for dedicated educators passionate about supporting K-5 students within an innovative, hands-on learning environment. The assignment will take place at a vibrant elementary school that emphasizes mathematics, science, and engineering through creative, project-based learning.

Role Highlights:

  • Begin your assignment in early September 2026 and support students through mid-June 2027.
  • Full-time schedule, weekdays only, with 37.5 hours per week devoted to direct student engagement and collaboration with a passionate staff.
  • Work on-site, serving as a center-based Emotional Behavior Disorder (EBD) teacher.
  • Engage with a forward-thinking curriculum, including Project Lead the Way Launch, to inspire students through technology, engineering, and science exploration.

Qualifications:

  • Current Minnesota teaching certification (Tier 3 or 4) in special education is required; must be submitted with your application materials.
  • Demonstrated experience or training with emotional/behavioral disorder strategies and inclusive instructional techniques.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and student advocacy skills.
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and stimulating learning environment for children with diverse abilities and needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with emotional and behavioral support needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success.
  • Utilize innovative instructional tools and resources to foster engagement and progress.
  • Monitor student growth, provide timely feedback, and adjust interventions as necessary.
