Bring your expertise in special education to impact young learners in a vibrant elementary school setting. This part-time contract opportunity is perfect for an educator passionate about making a difference for students with unique needs. Working in an elementary setting with an ABS caseload, you'll have the chance to collaborate closely with team members and families, playing a vital role in each student's academic and social growth.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher License (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
  • Demonstrated experience supporting elementary-aged students
  • Background working with ABS (Autism Spectrum Disorder) caseloads strongly preferred
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)

Role Overview:

  • Manage a diverse elementary caseload, primarily focused on ABS students
  • Design and deliver differentiated instruction tailored to individual needs
  • Monitor student progress and update IEPs as necessary
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and therapists to optimize each learner’s experience
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, keeping them closely involved in their child’s educational progress
  • Create a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes engagement and growth

This assignment begins August 25, 2026, and continues through June 10, 2027. The role averages 18 hours per week across regular school days (Monday through Friday), giving you a flexible 0.5 FTE schedule that supports work-life balance.
