Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ growth and success as a licensed school-based Occupational Therapist. Serve as an in-person provider and collaborate with a dedicated early childhood diagnostic team to assess, evaluate, and address student needs in a vibrant educational environment near Naperville, IL.

You’ll begin the year with approximately 30 students and play a crucial role as new students are evaluated into the program. This full-time position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, from 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM, totaling 37.5 to 40 hours per week. The assignment starts as soon as possible, extending through May 28th, 2027, giving you the chance to develop strong connections within the school community.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active and current Illinois Occupational Therapist license
  • Previous experience in a school-based OT role
  • Strong assessment, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive as part of a multidisciplinary diagnostic team
  • Passion for supporting student development and inclusion
  • Ability to adapt and manage a dynamic caseload, with new students added throughout the academic year

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individualized occupational therapy evaluations
  • Collaborate closely with the early childhood diagnostic team and other school professionals
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to student needs
  • Maintain documentation and track student progress aligned with school and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in eligibility meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Support students’ functional independence and participation within classroom and school environments
