This contract role offers the chance to work on-site with middle school students, providing vital OT services from August 2026 through early June 2027. Choose between a full-time position or partner with another professional as a part-time provider, with schedules aligning to the school day (7:45 am–3:15 pm, Monday through Friday).

In this role, you will:

• Collaborate with a dedicated group of eight occupational therapists, sharing ideas and strategies to enhance school-based OT programs.
• Serve as a key member of the building-level teams at two middle school sites, working closely with students, educators, and families.
• Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations to help determine special education eligibility.
• Provide direct intervention and support through both Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Individualized Education Program (IEP) frameworks.
• Consult with teaching teams to promote the successful generalization of skills across school settings.
• Document interventions and progress in accordance with school and district protocols.

Ideal candidates possess:

• A valid license to practice Occupational Therapy in Illinois.
• Experience delivering OT services within a school setting (preferred).
• Strong skills in evaluation, documentation, and collaborating with educators and caregivers.
• The flexibility to adapt services to meet diverse student needs and settings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
