Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Illinois
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric OT setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working with a varied caseload of mild to moderate needs
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Proficient in documentation and adherence to federal, state, and local guidelines
Responsibilities:
- Conduct occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to optimize student progress
- Provide direct intervention in both group and one-on-one settings
- Assist in developing strategies for classroom modifications and adaptations
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of student progress and services
- Participate in IEP meetings, team discussions, and professional development
- Foster an environment that encourages student growth, self-advocacy, and participation in daily activities
