Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active OT license in Illinois, or eligibility to obtain
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting
  • Understanding of IEP goals and documentation procedures
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and tailor interventions to student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students’ motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEPs
  • Collaborate with educators and families to provide classroom-based support and accommodations
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert input on students’ needs and progress
  • Educate staff and caregivers about strategies that support students’ success in and out of the classroom
