School Occupational Therapist - Evanston, Illinois

Make an impact as an Occupational Therapist supporting K-8th grade students in a dynamic school environment near Evanston, IL. This contract opportunity invites you to join a collaborative team of eight Occupational Therapists, working together to support students’ growth and educational success. With a start date of August 18, 2025, and a contract running through June 4, 2026, this role offers both full-time (35 hours per week, 5 days per week) and part-time flexibility to fit your schedule. Compensation for this position begins at $50 per hour.

Successful candidates will:

Qualifications:

• Hold valid Occupational Therapist Licensure for Illinois
• Demonstrate experience or interest in school-based occupational therapy, especially with K-8 populations
• Exhibit strong collaboration and communication abilities
• Show proficiency in conducting initial and re-evaluations for special education eligibility
• Be organized, adaptable, and eager to partner with multi-disciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• Perform evaluations and re-evaluations to determine students’ eligibility for special education services
• Implement evidence-based interventions and support for students through MTSS and IEP goals
• Collaborate with educators and specialists to promote skill generalization across classroom settings
• Consult and communicate regularly with school staff and families to maximize student outcomes
• Actively contribute as a valued member of the Occupational Therapy team
