Special Education Teacher | Clio, South Carolina

Two positions are available:

• EC PCD Teacher (3-4-year-olds): Requires both Special Education and Early Childhood degree certification.
• ID Mild/Moderate Self-contained (K-3): Requires Special Education Multi-Categorical endorsement.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid and active South Carolina Teaching License.
• Certification in both Special Education and Early Childhood (for the EC PCD Teacher role), or SPED Multi-Cat endorsement (for K-3 role).
• Experience or interest in supporting early childhood and primary-aged learners in a self-contained special education setting.
• Ability to work 37.5 hours per week onsite.
• Organized, compassionate, and dedicated to facilitating positive outcomes for students with diverse needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized education plans in compliance with district and state standards.
• Create a welcoming, supportive classroom environment tailored for early learners or K-3 students with mild/moderate disabilities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and administration to track and communicate student progress.
• Employ evidence-based instruction and interventions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure ongoing compliance with special education requirements.
