Special Education Teacher - Ridgeland, South Carolina

An exciting opportunity is available for three skilled Special Education Teachers to provide onsite classroom support for the 2026-2027 academic year. Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
• Active Special Education teaching certification
• Demonstrated experience working with students with a range of learning differences and disabilities
• Strong classroom management abilities and individualized instruction skills
• Knowledge of IEP processes and data-driven intervention strategies
• Excellent communication and collaboration with families, staff, and administration
• Ability to adapt quickly and thrive in a team-oriented, inclusive school environment

Position Details & Responsibilities:

• 37.5 hours per week onsite during the academic year (August 3, 2026 – May 28, 2027)
• Serve at one of the following locations based on assignment: Intensive Support at the elementary level, or Resource roles at high school or middle school
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with state and federal guidelines
• Deliver engaging instruction tailored to learners’ unique needs
• Assess and report student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and family members to support student success
• Create a supportive and structured classroom environment that encourages growth and achievement
