Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher at several local schools. This contract opportunity begins as soon as possible and extends through May 2027, with full-time hours in collaborative, resource-rich environments serving a range of grade levels, from PreK through high school. You'll be instrumental in multi-categorical classrooms, moderate special settings, and inclusive co-teaching resource rooms, providing individualized instruction and support.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active South Carolina Special Education Teacher License with Multi-Cat or required certification/endorsement (EC Cert a must)
  • Prior experience in elementary, middle, high school, or PreK Special Education classrooms preferred
  • Strong adaptability to both self-contained and co-teaching resource environments
  • Deep understanding of IEP process, differentiated instruction, and behavioral supports
  • Collaborative mindset for partnering with paraprofessionals, general education teachers, and related service providers

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement dynamic lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs and IEP goals
  • Provide direct instruction, support, and classroom management in moderate and self-contained settings
  • Foster inclusive, positive classroom culture where all students can thrive
  • Document student progress and engage actively with families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Contribute to IEP meetings and ongoing student assessment
  • Participate in school-wide professional development and initiatives

Additional Information:

  • Contract positions available across elementary, middle, high school, and PreK
  • Full-time schedules (35–37.5 hours/week); specific hours vary by grade level
  • Onsite roles strongly preferred; virtual options may be considered closer to the school year start
