Job Description

This contract position is designed for professionals passionate about fostering growth in early childhood and elementary students with special needs. Working onsite in a supportive school environment, you’ll collaborate with a dedicated team to deliver individualized instruction in either an early childhood (ages 3–4) or self-contained K–3 setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid South Carolina Teaching License (active)
- Special Education and Early Childhood degree certifications (for EC PCD Teacher position)
- SPED Multi-Categorical endorsement (for ID Mild/Moderate Self-contained K–3 position)
- Demonstrated experience working with early childhood and/or elementary special education populations
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to providing inclusive, positive learning environments focused on student success
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students based on assessment data and student needs
- Employ evidence-based instructional strategies to meet diverse learning profiles
- Track and report progress toward IEP goals and state standards
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to support student development
- Maintain timely, accurate records and compliance with all district and state requirements
- Create engaging classroom experiences that nurture growth in academic, social, and behavioral domains
