Special Education Teacher | York, South Carolina

This contract position begins as soon as compliance onboarding is complete and continues through June 1, 2027. Your primary assignment will be in a K-2 multi-categorical classroom, working from 7:15 am to 2:45 pm. You'll instruct a small group of 6-7 students, supported by two dedicated paraprofessionals. You’ll foster a nurturing, inclusive learning environment tailored to each child’s specific strengths and challenges.

You’ll also have the opportunity to serve high school-aged learners, collaborating with colleagues in resource, push-in, and academic seminar classes between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm. This well-rounded role provides a chance to impact students at various educational stages and work alongside passionate educators.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working in K-2 and high school settings is a plus
• Comfort collaborating with paraprofessionals and general education staff
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual student needs
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
