Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher working with students in a welcoming educational setting near Estill, SC! We are seeking dedicated professionals for contract opportunities: a Self-Contained classroom opening for kindergarten through second grade, and a Resource program serving middle school students.

Support students’ growth with your expertise, compassion, and instructional skills. You’ll collaborate with fellow educators, adapt lessons, and help learners make strides—both academically and personally. Pick from two engaging options:

OPENING #1: SELF-CONTAINED (GRADES K-2)

  • Guide a manageable class of 8 students with diverse learning needs in a supportive, self-contained environment.
  • Foster foundational academic, social, and behavioral skills for early elementary learners.

OPENING #2: RESOURCE (MIDDLE SCHOOL)

  • Deliver differentiated instruction to 15 students receiving support within a resource setting.
  • Empower adolescents in core academic areas while promoting confidence and self-advocacy.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
  • Current special education teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain from the state)
  • Experience with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Strong communication, adaptability, and team collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of evidence-based instructional practices for students with disabilities
  • Positive, student-centered mindset and commitment to inclusive education

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans based on IEP goals
  • Track progress and maintain compliance documentation
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and service providers for a holistic approach
  • Foster a nurturing, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Participate in meetings, professional development, and district initiatives
