Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Previous experience working with elementary (K-2) and/or middle school students in special education settings
• Strong understanding of multi-categorical classroom management and differentiated instruction
• Proven ability to create effective Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and track student progress
• Team-minded approach, with excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom community

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the diverse needs of students with varying abilities
• Administer instruction in a full-time, self-contained K-2 multi-categorical classroom, or within a middle school multi-categorical resource or self-contained setting
• Employ positive behavior supports and strategies to encourage student growth and achievement
• Monitor, document, and report on student progress toward academic and behavioral goals
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure an integrated support system
• Uphold compliance with all special education regulations and district policies
