Special Education Teacher | Cheraw, South Carolina

The role involves serving in primary settings with children ages 3-4 as an EC PCD Teacher, as well as teaching students in a K-3 self-contained, mild/moderate classroom. This position provides the satisfaction of fostering essential skills and confidence in children while collaborating onsite.

Qualifications:

• Valid and active South Carolina Teaching License
• Certification in both Special Education and Early Childhood (required for EC PCD role)
• Multi-Categorical Endorsement in Special Education (required for K-3 self-contained role)
• Experience or strong interest in working with early childhood (ages 3-4) and elementary-aged students
• Commitment to collaborative, student-centered instruction
• Ability to maintain organized records and provide effective lesson plans
• Strong communication skills with students, families, and colleagues

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and group instruction to meet students’ unique needs
• Develop and deliver engaging learning plans and adapt curricular materials
• Collaborate with teaching teams and service providers to support IEP goals
• Foster a nurturing, positive classroom environment for young learners
• Monitor and document student progress, sharing updates with stakeholders
• Maintain compliance with all special education policies and procedures
