Special Education Teacher | Cheraw, South Carolina

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting young learners in an elementary school setting. This contract position provides the unique opportunity to work with early childhood and K-3 students in a nurturing, hands-on environment, guiding their growth and development.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid South Carolina Teaching License
• Special Education and Early Childhood degree certifications (for EC PCD role)
• SPED Multi-Categorical endorsement (for ID Mild/Mod self-contained role)
• Previous classroom experience with students aged 3–8 preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
• Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement individualized education programs for students in early childhood and K-3 self-contained classrooms
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to support both academic and behavioral growth
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom climate
• Utilize a variety of instructional techniques to meet students’ learning styles and needs
• Collaborate effectively with classroom staff, therapists, and families
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with all stakeholders
• Meet all compliance and documentation requirements per district and state guidelines
