Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working with multi-categorical populations, especially in K-2 or middle school settings
- Skilled in developing and implementing IEPs and differentiated lesson plans
- Strong classroom management and communication abilities
- Ability to adapt to varying academic, social, and behavioral needs
- Positive, team-oriented attitude and a genuine passion for working with children
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction aligned to student IEP goals
- Create and maintain a structured, supportive classroom environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and related service providers
- Foster meaningful relationships with students and families
- Track and document progress toward educational, behavioral, and social goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and implement data-driven instructional strategies
