Special Education Teacher | Catawba, South Carolina

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active South Carolina SPED Teacher License required, with Multi-Categorical or appropriate endorsements
• EC Certification or endorsement is essential
• Experience supporting student success in elementary, middle, high, or PreK special education settings
• Familiarity with moderate, self-contained, co-taught resource, or multi-categorical classrooms
• Comfortable collaborating with general education staff and other specialists
• Ongoing commitment to inclusive, evidence-based instructional practices

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored instruction within assigned classrooms (elementary, middle, high, or PreK as needed)
• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to serve diverse learning profiles
• Foster an inclusive, supportive environment that promotes academic, social, and emotional growth
• Collaborate with IE teams, families, and paraprofessionals to develop and implement IEPs
• Collect and maintain accurate student progress data
• Support students in managing transitions, behaviors, and daily routines

Assignment Details:

• Contract through May 28, 2027
• 35–37.5 hours per week, on-site preferred
• Schedules vary by age group (elementary, middle, high, and PreK)
