Job Description

Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting student success in a district office setting, working with learners from Pre-K through 8th grade. As a school psychologist in this role, you'll concentrate on evaluation needs rather than daily routines, making a significant impact through assessment and intervention planning for students across the district.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement; pending license considered for travel applicants
  • Experience with evaluation procedures and special education assessments
  • Strong organizational skills for managing district-wide caseloads
  • Comfortable running domain meetings and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with the evaluation processes for Early Intervention and knowledge of procedures such as TPBA
  • Prior expertise with MTSS referral meetings is preferred

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations (with approximately 63 completed annually)
  • Facilitate and lead domain meetings
  • Oversee the Early Intervention transition process, including TPBA assessments, for incoming students (roughly 17 cases last year)
  • Attend MTSS referral meetings to provide insights for individual student needs, as necessary
  • Collaborate from the district office, focusing on high-level assessment and planning, rather than everyday student or staff support at individual school buildings

What to Expect:

  • Standard school hours: 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM, promoting a sustainable work-life balance
  • Supportive district environment and collaboration opportunities
  • No CPI training required as the position is not based in school buildings
  • Start as soon as possible, with the contract extending through June 19th, 2027

Ready to focus your skills on impactful evaluations and district-wide student support? Submit your application and step into a role where your expertise shapes educational outcomes across all grade levels. Don’t miss this chance to build your experience with a dedicated team in a forward-thinking setting!

Compensation for this position ranges from $44.92 to $64.92. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
