Job Description
Make an impact throughout the academic year by providing key psychological support to students in a dynamic school setting near Forest Park, IL. This contract position is created for a dedicated School Psychologist who thrives in educational environments and is passionate about helping students achieve success both academically and emotionally.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and student evaluations
- Collaborating with educators, counselors, and families to develop individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Leading and participating in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Delivering crisis intervention and counseling services as needed
- Assisting in the development of strategies for academic and behavioral improvement
- Promoting mental health awareness and providing resources for staff and families
- Maintaining organized, confidential records and documentation
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Valid School Psychologist certification for the state
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Deep understanding of federal and state special education regulations
- Ability to assess and address a range of academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Compassion and commitment to student well-being
