Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois School Psychologist license (IL Psych License)
- PEL (Professional Educator License) required
- Master’s or higher degree in School Psychology or related field
- Familiarity with the school-based multidisciplinary team process
- Strong assessment, consultation, and collaboration skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and confidentiality
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education teams to develop effective interventions and support plans
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to eligibility determinations
- Provide crisis intervention and counseling services as needed
- Consult with staff on behavioral strategies, social-emotional supports, and evidence-based practices
- Document and maintain accurate records in accordance with district, state, and federal requirements
