Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois PEL and School Psychologist license (pending licensure considered for travel professionals)
- Experience with evaluations, including developmental, academic, and behavioral assessments
- Strong understanding of special education processes and requirements
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills for meetings and interdisciplinary teamwork
- Familiarity with the EI transition process and TPBA preferred, but not required
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct student evaluations, managing an average caseload that last year included 63 evaluations
- Lead and facilitate domain meetings to determine evaluation needs
- Oversee the early intervention (EI) transition process, including completion of TPBA; last year included 17 transitions
- Attend MTSS referral meetings for individual students as needed
- Collaborate regularly with district staff, maintaining a central office presence rather than direct day-to-day student or staff support in buildings
- Ensure compliance with all district, state, and federal guidelines
