Key Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois PEL and School Psychologist license (pending licensure considered for travel professionals)
  • Experience with evaluations, including developmental, academic, and behavioral assessments
  • Strong understanding of special education processes and requirements
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills for meetings and interdisciplinary teamwork
  • Familiarity with the EI transition process and TPBA preferred, but not required

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct student evaluations, managing an average caseload that last year included 63 evaluations
  • Lead and facilitate domain meetings to determine evaluation needs
  • Oversee the early intervention (EI) transition process, including completion of TPBA; last year included 17 transitions
  • Attend MTSS referral meetings for individual students as needed
  • Collaborate regularly with district staff, maintaining a central office presence rather than direct day-to-day student or staff support in buildings
  • Ensure compliance with all district, state, and federal guidelines
