Step into a pivotal role as a school-based Social Worker, supporting students and school communities by providing critical services and conducting essential evaluations. Two immediate contract opportunities are available—one at a high school and one at an elementary school—both based in a dynamic educational environment near Waterbury, CT. Both roles are full-time, onsite, and offer the chance to make a meaningful difference during key periods at the start of the fall semester.

Openings & Schedule:

  • High School Assignment:
    • Start: August 31, 2026; End: October 9, 2026
    • Caseload: High school students
    • Hours: 35 hours/week, Monday–Friday
  • Elementary School Assignment:
    • Start: August 31, 2026; End: September 30, 2026
    • Caseload: Elementary students
    • Hours: 35 hours/week, Monday–Friday
    • Assignment may be extended based on needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Support students’ social-emotional development
  • Address and provide strategies for barriers to academic and social success
  • Collaborate with parents, educators, and school administrators
  • Prepare timely evaluation reports and necessary documentation
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Valid CT DPH and CT (071) school social work licensure/certification (please provide documentation upon applying)
  • Demonstrated school-based social work experience
  • Comfortable and effective in short-term/leave coverage roles
  • Availability for onsite work; virtual work is not available
  • Successful completion of a Zoom interview
