School-Based Social Worker - Oxford, Michigan

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree required (bachelor’s degrees are not eligible)
• Active LARA license in Michigan, or eligibility as outlined by LARA (see details: https://www.michigan.gov/lara/bureau-list/bpl/health/hp-lic-health-prof/counseling)
• Acceptable credentials include: LMSW, School Social Worker (master’s), Licensed/limited licensed Master’s Psychologist, MDE-credentialed School Psychologist, Marriage and Family Therapist (master’s), Professional Counselor (master’s, full or supervised limited license), SCL, NT, PSCC, or TSCL (with requirements for LLPC/LPC within 24 months)
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive school climate

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct individual and group social-emotional support to general education students
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement positive behavioral programs
• Support classrooms and school buildings as needed, including leading professional learning initiatives
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to develop and sustain best practices in school mental health
