Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license in Connecticut (CT)
  • Experience in school settings, ideally working with PreK-6th grade students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to connect with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to work full-time, on site (not remote or hybrid)
  • Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and goal-oriented interventions is valued

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement speech and language activities under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Provide direct therapy to students across varying ability levels and needs, maintaining thorough documentation
  • Assist in developing and modifying materials for student use
  • Track progress and report updates to supervising SLP and educational team
  • Support classroom teachers in strategies to enhance student communication
  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment that champions student growth
