Job Description

Two full-time contract opportunities are available for the 2026-2027 academic year, with positions running from early September and extending until a permanent hire is made. Key Qualifications:
- Valid New York State School Social Work certification (SSW)
- Active LMSW or LCSW license required
- Experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and advocacy skills
- Passion for supporting diverse student populations and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct social-emotional and behavioral support to students, including individual and group counseling
- Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, and families to develop and implement intervention strategies
- Conduct assessments, crisis interventions, and develop individualized plans to ensure student success
- Monitor and track student progress, maintaining appropriate records and documentation
- Serve as a liaison between home, school, and community resources to ensure comprehensive student support
- Participate in school team meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary discussions
