Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Current New York State School Social Worker (SSW) certification required
- Active LMSW or LCSW license
- Experience or interest in working with diverse student populations within school settings
- Strong communication, collaboration, and crisis intervention skills
- Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families
- Adaptability as caseload and specific hours will be confirmed in late August
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development
- Coordinate interventions and resources for at-risk students
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to create a positive and supportive learning environment
- Assist in crisis intervention and prevention programs
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress notes in line with school and state requirements
