Step into a dynamic and supportive elementary school environment dedicated to inspiring every child’s learning journey. An exciting contract opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher to support students with emotional and behavioral needs in a center-based program. This role is based at a specialty K–5 school known for its innovative focus on mathematics, science, and children's engineering with engaging, hands-on learning experiences.

This position begins in early September 2026 and continues through June 2027, offering weekday daytime hours with a consistent schedule.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota Tier 3 or Tier 4 Teaching Certification in Special Education (Emotional Behavior Disorders emphasis preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher—particularly working with students requiring behavioral and emotional support
  • Strong skills in developing and implementing IEPs tailored to individual student needs
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and administrators
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive classroom environment
  • Organizational and documentation skills for effective case management
  • Current resume and copy of Minnesota Teaching Certification must be submitted for consideration

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted instruction and behavioral support for students with emotional and behavioral disorders in a center-based setting
  • Develop, update, and implement IEPs in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines
  • Work closely with general educators, support staff, and families to create engaging learning environments
  • Employ evidence-based strategies and interventions to promote academic achievement and positive behaviors
  • Track progress, complete necessary documentation, and participate in student review meetings
