Job Description
Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by supporting those with the highest needs as a Special Education Teacher at a dedicated learning center near Maple Grove, MN. This contract opportunity is full-time for the 2026–2027 school year and involves working with a diverse caseload in a Setting 4 environment, serving elementary through high school students who present significant behavioral challenges and severe disabilities.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Demonstrated experience or a strong desire to work with students exhibiting intensive behaviors and complex needs
- Proven ability to foster a structured, supportive, and positive learning environment
- Skilled in developing and implementing IEPs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and engaging with families
- Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and organizational abilities
- Must provide both license and resume to be considered
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and behavior interventions tailored to students in a Setting 4 special education program
- Develop, track, and monitor progress on IEP goals, making regular adjustments to support student success
- Liaise closely with school staff, therapists, and parents to ensure a holistic approach to student development
- Document ongoing progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages personal growth, independence, and academic achievement
