Special Education Teacher | Anoka, Minnesota

Your primary role will focus on providing resource support to elementary students, developing individualized education plans (IEPs), coordinating with general education staff, and adapting lessons to ensure success for every student in your caseload.

What you’ll bring to the classroom:

• Active and current Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
• Previous experience in a special education setting, ideally with elementary resource students
• Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and IEP development
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to various learning styles and needs
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach with colleagues and families

Key responsibilities for this role:

• Deliver instruction and supports consistent with each student’s IEP
• Work closely with general education teachers to co-plan and co-teach as needed
• Maintain thorough documentation for student progress and compliance
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration and growth
• Participate in staff meetings and professional learning opportunities
