Embark on your next professional adventure as a Special Education Teacher who will take on a crucial leadership role by serving as the Special Education Director within a small, supportive educational environment. This full-time contract runs through June 18, 2027, initially spanning 35 hours per week with a transition to 40 hours per week following Labor Day. You’ll enjoy a collaborative setting where impactful work with K-12 students is valued and your expertise will influence meaningful growth throughout the school.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
  • Proven experience supporting diverse K-12 learners with unique educational needs
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills to effectively oversee SPED programs
  • Ability to manage caseloads ranging from 10-18 students, balancing direct instruction and compliance mandates
  • Proficiency in developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs and student progress
  • Commitment to fostering inclusivity, compassionate communication, and collaborative partnerships with staff and families

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the school’s Special Education Director, leading SPED initiatives and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
  • Manage individualized instruction, goal setting, and progress assessment for a caseload of 10-18 students
  • Support and mentor staff on best practices and new developments in special education service delivery
  • Oversee the development, review, and execution of IEPs, providing guidance to ensure student needs are met
  • Champion a positive, engaging, and adaptive learning environment for all students
  • Collaborate with administrators, educators, and families to promote student success
